    M.Sc.(Zoology), Calcutta Universty.

    Ph.D.(Cal. Univ) 1982 (Zoology:Entomology); Specialization: Insect Systematics, Bioecology,  Biocontrol.

    Biotechnology National Associate at Bose Institute Kolkata, 1994-95 .

    Chief Editor, NBU Journal of Animal Sciences (ISSN).

    Member , University Court and Ex. Chairman, Sports Board, NBU.

    Research Interest: Insect diversity, Insect pest management , Biopesticide(Herbal & entomopathogen), pesticide resistance in tea pests; Additional interest in Forensic Entomology and Vector biology.

    Current Research Project UGC Major : exploration and evaluation of Bacterial and Viral Entomopathogens of Major Lepidopteran Tea pests, A Bioresource study on Natural control Agents from Darjeeling Foothills and plains.
