Research interests
(1) Overweight, energy balance and related gene expression in hypothalamus of small mammals
(2) Genetic mechanism of disease, age-related weight gain in animal models
(3) Obesity, adiposity metabolism, and insulin resistance
(4) Food restriction, obesity and cancer risk
(5) Molecular mechanism of brown adipose tissue thermogenesis

Research experience:
2007.01-present: Postdoctoral research for effect of atypical antipsychotic drugs on energy expenditure at Department of Nutrition Science, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA
2005. 03-2005.08 Short term research for “Mechanism of molecular thermogenesis in Brown adipose tissue (BAT)” at Animal physiology, Department of Biology, Philipps-University, Marburg, Germany (Awarded by German Academy exchanges centre, DAAD scholarship).
2000.09-2006.03 Leptin and its role in body weight regulation and thermogenesis in seasonal acclimatized small mammals (Ph. D thesis).
